Entitled

Other Poems

We are no different then any other animal.

We are here to survive.

So why are we entitled to the world?

Taking it all over for ourselves.

Survival of the fittest?

This has gone too far.

We are killing ourselves,

Our wars, our need for money,

Our need to survive.

The energy we desire,

Why are we entitled to be the richest?

And everyone else around us is eating dirt.

What makes us special?

We are no different then the Germans in WWII.

Yet our concentration camps are the third world.

They live and die under the worst possible conditions.

While they produce our supplies.

Our day will come,

Soon we will be no more.

And perhaps that’s when we will realize,

Where entitled to nothing more then ourselves,

And hopefully that’s enough.
