I was scared and alone

I didn't have anywhere to turn

I was getting hurt

I was feeling the burn.

I was lost in confusion

I was completely torn apart,

I was crying I was screaming

I was bleeding from my heart.

Someone stood beside me

Someone held my hand,

Someone understood me

Someone helped me stand.

Someone made a difference

Someone helped me to see,

That I was not alone

And that she was there for me.

Now I'm not so lonely

Now I found a new friend

Someone I feel close to

Someone to help me mend.

I am thankful that I found her

I don't ever want her to leave,

She gives me a reason to smile

And a reason to breathe...
