don’t give me no sad excuses
don’t me no reasoning.
I don’t want to hear your story
Or what you have to say about me.
And you may think you got what you want
But I see through, to the other side.
And now I live with bravery in my heart
And the courage to face a new life.
Yes, you may have taken from me.
But I have been humiliated.
And can face no further punishment.
Or suffer worse pain than you created
So without actually knowing it .
By tearing me down
You have raised me up
And I live everyday without
The need for water or sun.
