How can I explain,

All the anxiety and pain,

Just to see your face again,

Opening up the flood gates

To the heart that you once owned

That heart was mine,

And mine alone.

So when I took it back

In the darkest year of my life,

I said never again

Will I go through all that

And never again

Will I ever feel sad

For what is gone

For what I can't have

Or for what

I NEVER

had...
