My eyes roam around to see what I can find

I always look for gold, but I get lost in the mine

Why do I search for happiness in things I know are vain?

I know God, You're the only One who can take away this pain.

I have a hole in my heart,

that leaves me feeling torn apart

and I can't seem to get it through my head,

that only You can ressurrect me from the dead...

from the deadness that I feel,

when I doubt that You are real.

This world and it's desires are quickly passing away,

But I get so caught up in the moment when I know that You're the way

The only way to joy, the only way to peace

but the only time I turn to you is when I'm crumbling to my knees.

The world may bring its fun but the weight of it all soon drops me

Help me God to see the importance of not wasting eternity.

For tomorrow will soon be yesterday and the time soon will cease.

I need Your Holy Spirit to send me a release

from this lie that holds me back

keep me from becoming slack,

in my prayers and in my worship

Because Your presence is always worth it.

Take me away from the cares of this world

and my desires for temporal things...

Because Jesus You are the Pearl

in which the Heaven sings

You are the valuable pearl that I've longed for

Enable me to give You more.
