Nothing Other

I am nothing other...than a man who's lost to time.

Confront my older brother, just in hope to find a sign.

All too battered by the notion

that unsung remains his soul.

All too shattered his devotion,

but the circle once seemed full.

Lost to time...oh lost to time...

A man, oh lost to time...

I am not unlike them...all the ones who've tried before.

Among the ones quite like them, I've grown shaken to the core.

Now well scarred through my intentions

to confirm my heart as true.

Now well worn down my renditions,

but my songs once played anew.

Lost to time...oh lost to time...

A man, oh lost to time...

Often one to tell you...just one tear can cleanse our eyes.

Seldom one to sell you, optic glitter in disguise.

And as one among the others,

here in shame, I searched for rhyme.

Confront my older brother,

just in hope to find a sign.

Lost to time...oh lost to time...

A man, oh lost to time...

Mine is still the vision...of tomorrow's chance to rise.

Hope is my ambition, while true faith, it still applies.

And perhaps the valley flowers,

all I need this day anew,

by her grace to find love's powers,

ever timeless to the view.

Lost to time...oh lost to time...

A man, oh lost to time...
