There is life beyond these halls,
It connects with more than the mortar
Reaches above the highest walls,
Dives deeper than the seas,
And builds more than the bricks.
It stings more than a thorn,
Leaves harsher marks than sticks,
It endures many hardships,
It suffers through pain,
But it smiles through adversity,
And dances in the rain.
Life lives beyond our confines,
And soars over our castle banners,
It takes initiative with opportunity,
It has no regard for our manners.
Life is all around,
It is beyond our mind,
It is continuous,
It is above our kind.
