The tears stood still in my eyes

As I watched you walk away.

There’s nothing left to touch of you

But the sadness in my eyes.

I’d climb this cold staircase

What lies beyond this door is another place.

Where we’re soon to meet again.

An unmarked grave dug early.

This love just seems to hurt me.

But I just turned and walked away.

I held back the tears, and held on strong to the gates that kept me separate from you.
