I still forget what it feels like
Only a memory to console
Faint yet constant in my mind
You are the reason that my soul cannot unbind.
I’m bound to you by barbed wire
Rusted from the tears yet unbreakable.
I shiver under your cold hands from behind me
Your touch is unmistakable.
Every now and then when the sun fails to rise
I find myself apart from you
And stumble upon my own demise
Because living without you is death
And I remain comatose until the sun goes down and your shadow is before me
When you deliver me one more breath.
