Yes I can

I want to make success ring like the American dream,
It stings my eyes like a diamond ring, “does a caged bird not sing?” these are a black
Boys dreams they are unstoppable, because with Jesus
All things are possible.

It can’t get any worst it seems life’s faker than the devil’s
Lying schemes, more hopeless than a single mother with
Five mouths to feed, WITH SOCIETY FEEDING. All
wishing Jesus comeback soon, to send the devil fleeing

So what’s this all mean to a boy that’s 18. Because they sad he was a failure when he was thirteen, no one would of known he found his way with the
Lord beside him he’s here to stay

through the pain and bad grades.
The lies and games,
the stains of defeat edged in his brain
his future He could hardly stand.
But with Jesus yes I can!
