On That September Day

May 28th, 2002

September 11th was a tragic day

The wind didn’t blow, swift, or sway

As many innocent people died

Their friends and family cried

One day, many went to heaven above

Where they could fly and be higher than a dove

The twin towers stood still

Then at 8:46 am the town became ill

Our nation cried, as lives were lost

To think it was all at the cost

Of someone mad at the USA

As they took many innocent lives away

9-11 will never be a day to treasure

but remembered forever

as the twin towers stood still

only to be blown away, against their will

Author's Notes/Comments:

I was into the September 11th after it all happened, and then I wrote a lot about it.
