Dreaming Reality

January 23rd, 2004

The family that I’ve always known

Is the one I wish to own

Brother, Mommy and Daddy,

The way a family should be

Family outings

Something everyone brings

A family of fun

A family turned into one

Mom is the mommy

And I love her a much possibly

Dad is the daddy

I still love him, even though perfect he may not be

My Best Friend is the brother

And he is like no other

Sometimes looking out for me

Keeping me from harm perfectly

Mommy and daddy may fight

Late into the night

But I love them still

And I always will

My real mom and dad

Is a story too sad

I want my mommy and daddy

My fake parents is my reality

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem dedicated to my Best Friends mom and dad who have always treated me as if I was their own daughter. And I love them as if they are my mom and dad, only because I dont like my real parents.
