I'm from a generation where broken homes seem normal

Where calling people by their names is way too formal

So instead I'll just call you a "nigga " or a "b*tch"

I'm from a generation where blankets have been replaced with cardboard boxes
Because the poor stay poor, while the rich get rich

I'm from a generation where fathers' aren't present for family portraits

So "mother's " families, usually portray daughters misunderstanding what love is ,cause they only learned to hate

And those son's .... that never became men because they were pampered through adulthood

NEVER learning to cook, clean or take out the garbage because they knew their mothers' would.

I'm from a generation that thinks getting educated is learning "swag" that and swag this

Literally, we've replaced black boards for social networks , and lessons for #TrendingTopics ....

And since everyone sounds the same it's hard to tell who the teacher is .

I'm from a generation that will stand on line for shoes and go broke
Than stand on line at no cost to vote

I'm from a generation where it seems love can't outweigh lust

Where God is only mentioned when we're reading dollar signs because it seems MONEY is the only thing we're taught to trust

I'm from a generation where we refuse to WAKE up because we lay on pillows of lies that we've been told .

I'm from a generation that disrespects the old.....

I'm from a generation that cheats to get ahead

I'm from a generation of "he said,she said"

I'm from a generation of dead babies in dumpsters
Neglectful mothers and local street hustlers

I'm from a generation of wrongful convictions and daily evictions

I'm from a generation of corruption, sex,lies, knives and guns

But more importantly I'm from THE generation that will breed the next one !!!
