In the end

Staring up at the sky
Wishing, dreaming, waiting;
For the heavens to fall apart
And relieve me of my pain

Its hollow day,
Walking through city streets
Seeing silhouettes
Hearing nothing
Feeling a burden of shame;
It weighs me down, holds me captive
To melancholy ways

I wish I could just let go;
Escaped this oppressed age,
Dance with someone I love…

But it’s just a dream
Until the end
When the heavens break apart
And the angels descend
With fire;
To relieve me of these solemn days

Woah... apocalyptic

Woah... apocalyptic serenade.
Be careful what you wish for my friend.
But I really enjoyed this, well typed ; )

"The stars awaken a certain reverence, because though always present, they are inaccessible; but all natural objects make a kindred impression, when the mind is open to their influence." R.W.E.
