What is it like,
To truly be loved?
To be drowned
With desire and need
The emptiness
Suddenly filled
Hearts beating
At the same pace
Physically aching
At just the mere
Thought of them
Is that what
It’s liked to be loved?
What happens,
When only one feel
That way always
And the other
Only sometimes?
What is it like
To know that only
One of us burns
With the desire
With the need?
What’s it like when
Two hearts beat
Their own paces?
I know what it’s like
To be the only one
Who feels that way.
Now I just wonder
What it’d be like if
We both felt that way.
I guess I’ll just
Never know.
