I take my coffee black and my whiskey straight.
Like I'm one of those men who helped make this land great
As if I'm a tough as nails cowboy,
When I'm a wanna be tough man who's really a boy.
They say 'gone are the days of the strong men of old'
Like Washington, MacArthur, and Murphy, and Teddy;
Always standing tall, honorable, and ready.
So many more to list, how can we compete;
The "greatest generation", they are the elite.
When evil drew close, they stood up, that's clear
They chose honor, stood strong, and faced their fear
With love in their hearts they did what was right
They offered their lives, and fought the good fight
So here's to those men, the "real men" we say
To be tough like them, is what we pray
