Oh, Beautiful Child, Part 5

Folder:
Children's Poetry

Oh, beautiful child, the silly squirrels sit, seeking something simple to eat;
Squirrels seem so soft and speedy;
Especially when they're protecting a treat.

Oh, beautiful child, you have made a pegasus with such beauty and grace;
Just look how it has just put
A proud and happy look upon my face!

Oh, beautiful child, you've made a wondrous colorful design;
With such careful attention
To each and every line.

Oh, beautiful child, you did your best to make a waterfall;
There are so many things that you can do at home or school
Without even making a telephone call.

Oh, beautiful child, I see you made a whirly, swirly rose;
I promise you that your Daddy
Will not cut it when he mows.

Oh, beautiful child, I'm looking at your pretty flower of green and red;
It almost feels like Christmas day; what a cute little blossom, I say
To plant in a flowerbed.

Oh, beautiful child, it's not often that you use your colors orange and peach;
I'll help you pick a pretty leaf off of your autumn tree
If it's one you cannot reach.

Oh, beautiful child, I love the way you painted your egg with glitter;
Everyone will think it's pretty;
Even your babysitter.

Oh, beautiful child, as we walk on the bright beach in sandals;
I can surely imagine seeing
Your dolphin made of candles.

Oh, beautiful child, you were once a baby dressed in pink;
And you would swing in the park in the dark;
You were so happy, you would barely even blink.

Oh, beautiful child, I can see the light sparkle in your eyes;
As you use your tissue paper
To make roses and butterflies.
