My First Morning Back at Home

Folder:
Self Poetry

Now, I'm back at home where I belong;
And this poem, in my head, is a joyful song.
I got to wake up in a big bed;
With comforting sounds of sleeping coming from my man's head.
I am back at home with my babies furry;
And now, my future is not so blurry.
I know I can make it in this life
If I am or if I'm not a common-law wife.
One is just easier on which to rely;
When a couple can support each other when one may cry.
It's very important to have a mate, and a friend;
But, it's also necessary to be an independent woman.

I just have to balance it out;
That's what life is all about.
