get out of your head

is what he said

get out of your head

live out here instead

but I didn't listen

well I did kind a listen

but I didn't apply

didn't even try

held onto my thoughts

'til I started to cry

blamed him again

for this is my sin

go round and round

I won't give in

not to real living

not to real giving

not to receiving

not to forgiving

but one day I will

start to instill

'till this lesson I've learned

becomes a great skill
