Wishing to get away from this war,
Hoping it will be no more.
Slowly starting to dance to a beat.
Trying to forget the sounds of war
Hoping this pain will be no more
Wanting love to shine bright
Above this endless night
Alone today,
Gone tomorrow.
Family died
FIghting to stay alive
Missing ones that were around
Hoping this is juts a dream
Wanting to wake up to peace
Knowing it will come one day
Hoping that day will be tomorrow
Sits down and waits for it to become day
Day breaks, shadows come
This nightmare has just begun
Goes to sleep
Wakes up and sees it was just a dream
Hope it will never come to be
Runs down the street
Smiling on face
Singing for the day
