modern days disgrace

i was in the metro

when i saw a silhouette

two eyes green

and full of light

perched lips

and hair combed to the side

with passion yearning to be known

i looked into those eyes

and she said into mine

'let's be obscene!

let's be deranged!

let's just be on polaroids!

lets portray what we can't hide!'

and i so renamed

my faceless fear of obligation

stepped into those chasing hands

clasping down to make a man

but me i'm just a seed

and i've got no roots to feed

so i'll sew what needs to breathe

homogenize what lies inside

and fertilize my famished habits

this way i won't forget

where and when it all began

why and how i made it possible

and who showed me the right way

to make an honest killing

in a modern day's disgrace
