My grandmothers house

My grandmother's house

My grandma’s house is a very peculiar place, almost like an antique store, all the ornaments and decoration haven’t change since I can remember. I wouldn't be amazed if someone tell me that the house has more than 80 years old. It used to be one of my favorite places in the world and most of my childhood memories are there. Even though I only visited once, sometimes twice, a year. It is located in Morelia’s, right in the heart of the city. I remembered in such a sentimental way because it’s the place where my whole family gathered together, whenever I went it was full of children (my cousins). It always worth the 8 hours trip and when we arrived my grandmother always receive us with tasty food after the long voyage, a flavor so real, probably because the animal died that same day. Most of the times we travel to Morelia was because of the Christmas holidays, so the house was decorated with the colorful light, the wreaths and a Christmas tree. One of the funniest things to do there was to dig inside the drawers or my grandpa’s secret closet that was on the attic. My cousins and I used to spend hour searching for interesting thing to play with and trying to be cautious so that the adults wouldn’t see us. My grandpa used to be a police officer so one could imagine which kind of things he has saved in that closet, a lot of ammunition, his old 1911, a pair of rust handcuffs and some other gadgets. In the house there was always a lot of noise but my grandma never complain as a matter of fact she used to enjoy it, I remember her watching us play with a smile on her face. And even when she passed away after the funeral my family get together in his house and for a moment we had this not awkward silence, in which I supposed we were all remembering the good moments that we share with her, and after that the noise returned. We still come together there for the holidays and even though I have grown I still have the same emotions about that place.
