Rocky Waters

Feels like an earthquake inside a cave

Something caving in , the earth can feel.

The beating sound makes the walls quiver .

Dust falling as silence shivers.

The sound is so intense,

The quietness is so unnerving.

Like two tightly strung bongos,

Like the stillness of a lake, the school of fish moving perfect .

The sound of crumbling rocks moving to submit.

The silence of water rising prying where it fits.

Beating loud uncertainty of what's going to happen next.

The silence so loud feels like something's sneaking up on my breathe.

Finally the roof collapse rock pounding uncontrollably,

Water rising choking the soul in me.

The cave crumpling is my pounding heart.

The water smothering is our time apart.
