Laughter ringing in my ears

Sun beats down

Leaf strewn ground

And this love

Bashes away all my fears

If I could remain in your arms

And forget all the tragedy

And if the soft touch of your lips

Could only carry me away

Then in this sunny day

I might've stayed

But the clouds become dark

And tear us apart

And I'm falling down this deep pit

Once again

I long for the safety

Of you and me

Of not always running

And having this goal

In which to trust

And which to hold

And dear God

I miss you
