I use the term 'friend' loosely these days

We could've been more

But we went our seperate ways

Fate was playing with me

It was never meant to be

But I'll go on

I'm still strong

And I'm sorry that it went wrong



But that's the past

And I'm forgetting fast

What was there

I'm moving on



A different tune is playing up

I'm dancing to a different song

And I can still smile and wave

But thats all it is

There's nothing more



Because that was the past

And I forgot real fast

What was there

I've moved on



Your that distant memory

Just stored away

With the summer breeze of tranquility



Because it was it was a distant past

And I forgot so fast

What was there

I've moved on and on and on



But once in a while

I go back

And secretly smile

Because I enjoyed those days



But they're the past

That I must forget again fast

Because I've moved on
