Suicide Hotlines

                                       Suicide Hotlines

It's nice that there are so many resources for those with mental health issues these days, but there are limitations.

Yesterday, I was interviewed by the Case Manager for my new healthcare provider. I gave her the name of my daily meds, and what each was for. She picked up on the psych meds, and had to go to another window to assess my current emotional status.

She asked "Do you have a Plan"? I laughed for a second, then said "Ma'am, if I DID, I wouldn't tell you". Then I elaborated, and said that people with traumatic pasts who become so despondent, as to be suicidal, won't EVER tell you if they "had a plan".

The reason is that they're in SO MUCH pain emotionally, that they just want it to STOP. And giving up their Plan would thwart the attempt, but prolong the Agony, Loneliness, Sadness, and Pain that's slowly destroying them from the inside out.

So, yes, it's good that there are an abundance of Trauma Counselors, but if the suicidal person doesn't WANT help, everyone loses.

I so wanted to FEEL Love one last time, but that's just not possible, not for me.

And NO, I don't need a "Wellness Check", thank you.
