Letter To Me

Dear Me,
To the 16year old who played on grand pianos in museums.
To the 17 year old who rode horses with your friends on baseball fields and looked up to the other more advanced riders in the arena.
To the Me that started living on your own at a young age.
To the 18 year old that knew "getting a divorce is something grown ups do and sometimes love doesn't last."
To the 19 year old that took herself on dates and day long drives to see she no longer lives in NY and there is so much beauty in Kentucky.
To the 20 year old who fell in love and was surrounded by friends all the time and always trying new things (like walking on abandoned train tracks and riding wild mustangs & having a crazy scar from breaking your wrist after falling off one).
To the 21 year old that got to see your family proud of you for being on your own for the past 4years.
To the 22 year old who has a house on land and you horse right down the road and jumping her 4ft for a dream come true.
To the 23 year old who'd become a equine veterinary technician in Kentucky and experienced that field and all the experiences in Cairo Egypt. Who started your own business the following season.
To the 24 year old who found out you had a whole bunch of other family members you never knew about- waiting for you to meet them, and move three times in three different states to be strong enough and ready to move to Florida to be with them.
To the me who never knew the loss of a childhood home and friends.
To the me who never lost a loved one to suicidal death yet.
To the me who hasn't yet sacrificed your pets, friends, family and loved ones for your own happiness....
Keep. Going. You will endure all of this. But you will find happiness, and you will know peace.
You will make it through everything because You Are Me.
