"Distraction"

“Distraction”

I would’ve loved to talk to you; but you didn’t have anything to say.

We spent countless minutes socializing but I must be on my way.

My ability to tolerate, ignorance has taken more that it can withstand.

Initially your physique asked me to pay you a visit, and I gave in to your command.

I was curious, as to what else you’d demand of me so, I gladly took a chance.

Shortly after you departed your lips, my eyes were instructed to glance.

As I glanced over you I took note of all you allowed me to see.

Thirty seconds was all it took to decide that you weren’t for me.

Your words though polite, were like the windows to your soul.

I’d like to prevent you from wasting your time, without being cold!

I thank you for entertaining me for this short period of time.

I wouldn’t want to distract you from your true soul mate; or allow you to abstract me from mine!
