but to let you go.

Never will I see your face

except in photographs

of happier times

and when I close my eyes.

Now I only see you

in my dreams

and there all this heartache

has vanished.

You smile at me,

and I fall in love

all over again.

In my slumber,

we build new memories together,

starting where we left off

before the tragic end came.

Then I wake up,

and the reality of your absence

tears me apart.
