Still to Come

Always in the beginning,
we show our good sides,
not the truth.

We exaggerate our virtues
while minimizing our vices.

You’ve see the best of me;
the worst of me is still to come.

And when I come,
you’ll find my demons
penetrating you deep inside.

My biggest regret will be
that I stole your innocence
with the lies of my tongue.
