The Great Depression

My Broken Heart

All I ask is that
you acknowledge my existence,

Just say one word
to give me peace
then I will leave you be.

But sometimes
your silence consumes me,
and I fall into a
great depression.

Your voice is the only thing
that can make me happy.

You are the one
that controls my attitude;
my moods rely on your interest.

But when I sense your indifference,
I feel the world crashing down
and only you can lift me up
out of the ashes.
