Stained Glass

She was stained glass,
shapes created
when broken pieces
were glued together
to make a work of art.

Her eyes were prisms
reflecting her kaleidoscope heart,
but she wore glasses
covered by grayscale lenses
that hid her color.

But I could still see
the beauty of her shades
because the light inside her
was bright enough
to shatter the spectacle.
