Your Love

God (Inspired by)

In the smothering silence,
I can get consumed by
the dark void.

There’s something so familiar
about the voices in my head
repeating fears I’ve whispered before.

And all I see the reflection
of an ugly girl
trapped behind glassy eyes.

But you moved over me
and covered her face
until she no longer existed.

You showed me who I truly was-
perfect in your eyes
although beautifully flawed.

Your love will find a way
to get me out of
the darkness.

Your love will light the way.
