I am unworthy of your death;

my crimes are numerous 

and unforgivable.

I could never earn your love;

this life is not deserving

of your overflowing mercy.

I should be crucified instead of you;

my sins outnumber my

acts of kindness.

So I take up my cross,

follow you to Calvary’s hill

and nail my sins there.
