Touching the Cosmos

Folder:
God (Inspired by)

Oh, curious homo sapiens,

give up your search now

for your mind can never

comprehend the wonders

of this vast universe.

Every time you get a little

closer to understanding

the meaning you raise new

questions you can not

even begin to answer.

Why do you need

to know everything?

Don’t bother; you won’t.

It’s not for ours to grasp,

only the One who made us.

It’s the beauty of our existence

because if we had the answer

to all our meaningless questions,

we would have nothing to ask

our Maker when we see His face.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Inspired by: The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of books--a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects. – Albert Einstein
