Make Me Forget

Love Blossoms

He drove me to your arms;
his abusive words made
your kindness so appealing.

Hold me gently as tears flow
in efforts to release
myself from his grip.

I hope you are able to
erase him from my mind
with the touch of your hand.

I want you to claw him

out of my skin

like a scabbed wound.

Kiss me so passionately
that his lips are
but a distant memory.

Maybe your love can
make me forget that
I was hurt so deeply.
