Reliving a Memory

Maybe I liked the idea of you more than I actually liked you as a person. You were a major part of one of my favorite memories. Perhaps I thought being with you would allow me to relive that memory.

When you came into my life, I was utterly broken. You brought a smile to my face when tears had become my constant companion. And for that I'm grateful. Maybe I needed to meet you to find my joy again.

But I regret that I clung to you longer than I was meant to. You were a passerby that I had a hard time letting continue on your journey. But today is the day that I say goodbye from afar and let you go on your way.

Thank you for influencing me to find positivity and renew my faith in God and His plan for my life. I needed you for a moment and it was beautiful but that moment has passed.
