Notice Me

Folder:
Dedications

I wanted you to notice me.

I swayed my hips as best I knew how

in the hopes you would see me.

I didn't think you did.

I didn't think I could ever stand out

when there were so many prettier girls than me

with better dance moves.

But somehow you did notice me.

And you wanted to know me.

You wanted to know ME.

The life of the party

noticed the wallflower.

The most popular guy

saw the shy girl.

I can only imagine that you would be mine

because that can never be a reality.

If you truly knew me,

you would reject me

just all the rest have.

But the short while

that you knew I existed,

it made me giddy.

And for that,

I will never forget you.
