All Smoke, No Fire

Folder:
My Broken Heart

He's the embers of lost love,
the ash of what could've been.

He comes around looking for
something to set on fire,

but what we had together
burned out long ago.

We were sparked once,
a candle lit by chance
until a blaze emerged.

The winds of change
have smothered the flame;
the black smoke bellows.
