No One Is An Island

Folder:
Society

No one is an island,
we live among each other,
connected with hands
linked across oceans.

Every man is a piece of the puzzle;
a part of the whole.

A cog in the mechanism
that keeps the earth rotating.

We are in this together;
when one soul flickers out,
it affects us all.

When another rises from the dust,
it brings everyone joy.

We are all related,
not by blood
but by the one thing
that we have common:

our humanity.
