Today there's a brilliant sunrise;
And meticulous Melody Mariam,
Sure-of-step, open-minded, twenty five years of age,
Blinks awake, ready to face the world,
Light flickers through the thin walls of her shack,
The rays pore through the veil of her life,
and records a memory,the daylight caress
soft on her face; such's the welcome she needs
to enumerate todays' hussles, a daunting task-
She takes the bold step over
The rat race that festers;for
she hopes of encountering fortunes
Through honest sweat, so
she plies the precarious route
To wealth, each day with a renewed hope.
