New Landlord
He came like a thief one morning
The man i thought exist not in nothing
In the registry of Nanyuki land`s office
Whipping out some paper, he said to me:
"This is my land
Vacate it before i land!"
Aghast, i look at him like a confused nomad
"Bwana, i live in no man`s land
I occuppy a fraction of communal land"
"What?You`ll soon get an eviction order
From high if you resist official orders"
And surely he did come before twilight
With goons with crawhammers, knobkerries,
Lorry-load of escort askaris with loaded guns, and
Marchboxes full of light
Unhesitantly my hut they set alight
So i went with my kids at night
To camp at some neighbours Lawn
Till the next morning dawns
