Great Isolation

Dreams fade grey as dry as day

Soil staled into sand

By the sun's sweet dizzy stare

Dreams fade dullened bare

As if to say "I was never there"

As I walk the aisle, I walk the plank

And settle vows away

On the woken mourn of a new life

That stretches a deep dawn

Cross a dreary sky

All to early in a mild season

Time but heals isolation

Time but draws up curtains

To reveal all that time reveals

Time but treads

Through every simple season

Time will tell when the time is right

And my season is ripened thick

From bud to a blossom

And all questions conquered
