Surfacing

The light drones low

Dim upon our open skin

As smooth a burnt embrace

Do we drown within

No one else but us

Between the wrinkles

We make love

Feathers flying quick

Buried down within

The soil of your love

And as the candles weep away to mild puddles

The silken moment penetrates

Darkening the pale blossom

Shattering the mirror

And as the snowglobe settles from the storm

Our bodies slowly surfacing

Our world quaking deep for more
