Stars, Moon, and Sky

The stars shine,

shattered pieces of glass.

They are beautiful,

like precious gems.

Shine they do

...like a giant disco-ball.

The moon glitters,

a crescent in the sky.

It glows different colors

at different times of year.

And it changes shape

with each night that passes.

The sky burns,

a veil of shadows.

Dark and elusive,

it swallows us all.

The sky enshrouds us

within an evil-pure sea.

This poem was originally written for my biological sister, Diana. But I thought others might also like to read it as well.
