Sometimes

Folder:
2006

I Sometimes imagine you next to me

Your arms around me

and we'd just lie

I Sometimes imagine you kissing my cheek

whispering into my ear

and stroking my hair

I Sometimes imagine you holding my hand

My head resting on your shoulder

Our fingers are entwined

I sometimes imagine us talking, early morning, it's barely light

Over cigarettes and dark coffee

You'd probably have whiskey in yours

I sometimes imagine you smiling at me

Like you really mean it, but

you're too proud.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I don't usually make poems without Rhyme, but I felt that this one was okay. I like it.
