Crimson

All that I have are my rhymes.
I'm left with the scars, and a broken mind.
Your shadow from my past, sneaks in at night,
into my room, and he puts up a fight.
I'm always defeated each and every time.
There's crimson on this page, dotting every line.

All that I see is crimson, on my legs and arms.
And in the hole in my chest, to my broken bleeding heart.
I see crimson, in the skies,
all of your promises came from your lies.
Would you worry if I told you of the crimson on the blade?
I see crimson, when it's hidden in the rain.
At night I cry, and soak in my shame.
Is it sad that I see crimson, crimson twisted in my face?

I am sewn together, oh so completely.
But you swept over me, very discretely.
I can hear your voice, it cries in my head.
This burdens weight is heavy, there's a lot you left unsaid.

I see crimson, crimson in the skies.
All your pretty promises, came from pretty lies.
All of your promises, came from pretty lies.

Shifting grey skies, and crashing rain.
It's hard to remember a love, once it's shattered into pain.
Doors left unlocked, no secrets held behind.
Only leaving secrets of yours, for me to find.
Your lips like ice, I breathed them in like air.
I beg you to surrender, no longer can I bare.

Quiet is my sleep, until your in my dreams.
Although I wake, I still hear my screams.
Exhausted my eyes wonder off through great distance.
I wish once more, just to brace your presence.
Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a song, kind of about all of the people who hurt me and just being hurt in general.
