Echo

Across the vast distance,

it repeats over and over.

The voice of the echo,

then fades under the dark cover.

The high cliff of its origin,

stands a lonely girl who starts to cry.

Her lover has died; she's in pain,

she jumps off as is to fly.

She cries as she falls,

then an echo finds her.

"Stop" it says "I'm here"

she looks up and sees her lover.

She screams but it is done,

he wishes he was sooner; not to late.

Oh the pain; he jumps to,

this is the echo's fate.

The echo dies as do the pair,

not to relive till another comes.

Just atop the lonely mountians,

to pass times she hums.

She watches the sun and the clouds,

she watches the stars and the moon.

More will come, when? She's not sure,

all she knows is soon.
