Breathing Alone

  I wish you were,

 With me right here,

 Staring at my eyes,

 With endless pleasing sighs.

Distance can’t part us; does it have any right?

My breath, through the invisible-bridge, reaching you each night,

Thank God! Donne’s thought revives me always,

Never allowing me to give in to sadness.

Even if, for a short time, I’m breathing alone,

My heartbeats indicate you being the healer, I must depend on.

Author's Notes/Comments:
