I did not mean the least to hurt you,

Yet I broke your heart like a glass,

I was hurt as well after seeing you cry,

As a baby just before my eyes!

I gave my word to you right then,

That not a moment of melancholy,

Would ever penetrate our lives,

I would make you smile like the rainbow!

I made a mistake not a sin,

I said time and again hugging you firmly so!
